Learn to Skate

Designed for beginning skaters, the Learn to Skate program stresses preliminary coordination and strength to maneuver on skates. This class will include fun and games to encourage enjoyment of skating. 

 

Mini-Mites and Learn to Skate

GSC encourages all current and future Mini-Mite players to enroll in Learn to Skate classes.

• In Learn to Skate, players are introduced to basic skating skills:

• Balance, strength, and agility on feet

• Edge control and coordination

 

Skating is the foundation to ALL other hockey skills (like puckhandling, passing, shooting etc.)

 

We hope to see the future of GSC on the ice this winter! 

 

Please remember to dress your child appropriately, especially in extremely cold weather. 

Prerequisite Age: 3+

Hockey helmet with face protection, snowpants, gloves, skates (figure skates, hockey skates or softec skates)
